Who are you – Online?

By Josh Lama

Who/ What are you right now? Yes/ Right now?

Human?

A Kid?

An Adult?

Who/What are you online?

Human?

A Dog?

Ghost?

Hobbit?

A 14 year old girl?

A 53 year old man?

Who/What are you online?

Should a flower be a flower?

Should a brick be a brick?

Should a human be a human?

Shouldn't that be for all cases,

even online?

Or are we so fed up of

Ourselves that

Being someone else seems the greater option.

How come, we live a double life?

Yours might not be as obvious:

Do you swear online?

Do you call someone online –

A Jackass

Gay

An n00b

That you wouldn't say in real life?

"It's amazing to have someone from

Australia and someone from South

America in the same chat room!"

Fr. Roderick. 2008.

It is amazing!

We are a worldwide comunity!

Why can't we make that?

"You know, what really bothers me about this...

...but the internet has made people so cynical,

and so unaccountable. And,

I actually sometimes detect a little glee

in some of

these people..."

Where are

you

going to be?

here here here

here here

"And I'm like, 'what kind of people are these?'

and 'do they have people they care about?'

Or are they literally

so

Self-centered

That they don't care about anyone but

Themselves?"

Scott Bourne. 2009.

Josh Lama Blog for Advent #10

Hey Guys,
So Speech Day was on today at our school. Now I go to a pretty good school, that isn't private, but has a lot of traditions that sound private. You could say that the school that I go to is a private wannabe.
I play trumpet. So I was part of the Fanfare (Fanfare for a Dignified Occasion by Sir Arthur Bliss), Concert Band (Abram's Pursuit by David R. Holsinger), and Stage Band (Ease on In by James Morrison Australian Trumpet Player) I also sing. So for our choir piece we usually do a piece that covers the genre of 'New Age', 'Contemporary Art Music', 'World' etc. This time we went for a piece called Bohemian Rhapsody. Now if you have never heard of Bohemian, 1) where have you been for the last 30 years and 2) ... ... ... ... I have no 2. But here it is if you never heard it.
What's odd about this choice is that this is supposed to be a celebration, or a Dignified Occasion,
instead we go for something that has the lyrics of:
"I'm just a poor boy,I need no sympathy...Anyway the wind blows,doesn't really matter to me/To me. ...
...Mama/just killed a man
Put a gun against his head/Pulled my trigger/now he's dead
Mama/life had just begun/But now Ive gone and thrown it all away
Mama ooo/Didn't mean to make you cry
If I'm not back again this time tomorrow
Carry on,carry on,as if nothing really matters...
...Nothing really matters-,nothing really matters to me"
Anyway, we got approval from the Principal a long time ago, and I think we match the original fairly well. right from the first notes, to the opera section, to the end with the gong/tam-tam.
Well, I'll post it as soon as I get the video.
See ya.

P.S. Yes I know Freddy Mercury was gay and I know the biblical standpoint, but should I criticize his music because of his private life?

What Church would be like as money in the middle instead of God.

quick warning. in the middle Christ's name is used in vein. This is a secular film by the way.
What I find distrubing is that some companies do this. say that we are upholding God, but in there for the money. 1 Timothy 6 says,
3If anyone teaches false doctrines and does not agree to the sound instruction of our Lord Jesus Christ and to godly teaching, 4he is conceited and understands nothing. He has an unhealthy interest in controversies and quarrels about words that result in envy, strife, malicious talk, evil suspicions 5and constant friction between men of corrupt mind, who have been robbed of the truth and who think that godliness is a means to financial gain.
Bible is so cool.

I want to show you some of the best ads that I have ever seen. On You tube. about 1997-98. etc. etc. The rumor is that Steve Jobs (CEO of Apple Inc.) cried when he first saw this ad.

After a long search, I have found this. a 2007 version of the Think Different ad.

I found another one, but this will work.
See you
